Charcoal Foundations with Robyn Clarke

Placement, Composition & Perception (4-Week Workshop)

 

Develop a solid foundation in charcoal drawing with guest artist Robyn Clarke. Whether you are looking to refine your technique or try charcoal for the first time, this 4-week course focuses on the core principles of placement, composition, directional eye movement, and forced perception.

Under Robyn’s step-by-step guidance, you will work from provided imagery to build your own striking, high-contrast charcoal compositions in an uncrowded, hands-on environment.

Course Details

When: Fridays (10:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Dates: September 4th, 11th, & 18th (followed by a 3-week break), concluding on October 16th, 2026

Location: Brassey Studio & Gallery | 10 High Street, Eaglehawk VIC

Class Size: Strictly capped at 9 adults for an intimate, spacious studio experience.

New Students ($165.00): Select this option if you are new to the workshop! Includes premium drawing paper plus your full take-home starter kit (4 specialized charcoal pencils, blenders, and a kneadable eraser).
